SimpleHomeNet EZIO2X4 Insteon Compatible Relay/Sensor

EZIO2X4 is a dual function module that allows monitoring/sensing of external signals and direct control (switching) of devices. Four inputs (2 opto-isolated and 2 programmable as analog levels) can be used to interface items such as door closures, light sensors, temperature sensors, etc. 

 

This device includes a 5V output that then can be routed through magnetic sensors or other devices and measured at another terminal to electronically represent the status of that device and then convert that status to an Insteon / X10 command.  It also can accept an Insteon command and generate a relay response.  This unit, when combined with a powerful conditional programming device such as the ISY-99I home automation controller, can be a powerful addition to your home automation network.  One example is to use the EZIO2X4 and an ISY 99I controller to monitor and control a garage door.  Door position can be indicated on an Insteon Keypadlinc and the garage door's status is measured with a magnetic garage door alarm sensor.

These inputs can send Insteon group commands upon changes in their levels or at preset alarm points in the case of the analog inputs. As an Insteon/X10 responder, EZIO2X4 functions as a dual relay switch rated .5A at 30VDC/120VAC.
