Insteon ApplianceLinc Outdoor (3 Pin)

 

This is an outdoor version of the ApplianceLinc, which makes remote on/off control of outdoor plug-in lights and appliances possible. Now you can control devices such as fountain pumps and landscape or holiday lighting. No hardwiring or complicated installation is necessary, just plug it in, plug in the device you want to control and link it to an INSTEON-compatible controller - then just sit back and enjoy the benefits of automated lighting.

Scheduling your outdoor lights or appliances: Install HouseLinc 2 - INSTEON Desktop Software on your computer to have your ApplianceLinc, or any other INSTEON-compatible device, to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset.

Please Note: The ApplianceLinc - INSTEON Outdoor Plug-In On / Off Appliance Module must be plugged into a GFCI outlet when used in outdoor applications.

 

Easy To Install
The ApplianceLinc is easy to install and set up. Add it to all of your outdoor appliances such as fountain pumps and landscape or holiday lighting, and then plug the module back into the wall outlet. Link the ApplianceLinc to an INSTEON controller using the Plug & Tap programming method, and you'll be able to turn the appliance on and off from any linked INSTEON-compatible controller. If this is your first INSTEON installation, to ensure reliable communication a pair of Access Points may be required.

 

Create Multi-Way Circuits
Want to be able to synchronize a wall switch with your outdoor lighting so that when your indoor lights are controlled at the switch, your outdoor lights follows along? You can do it with INSTEON. Simply link your ApplianceLinc with an INSTEON-compatible wall switch and in seconds you're done.

 

Scene Lighting
Scenes allow you to control multiple lights, rooms or even the whole home with a single command. Because the ApplianceLinc can be a member of more than 400 scenes (i.e. "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc.), you'll be able to launch various lighting scenarios with a single button press on an INSTEON controller. These are elegant features usually found only in systems costing tens of thousands of dollars and requiring extensive rewiring of your home. All member lights and appliances can turn on or off instantly, all controlled with one command from one button.

 

Red & Green Status LED
A red LED is illuminated when the ApplianceLinc is not in use and a green LED is illuminated when the ApplianceLinc is in use. The Status LED is also used for setup programming; a green LED will continuously blink while the ApplianceLinc is in linking mode.

 

Compatibility
The ApplianceLinc is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. X10 ready means that the module can respond to a single X10 command from an X10 controller. Please note that INSTEON devices repeat INSTEON signals but not X10.

 

Non-Volatile Memory
All ApplianceLinc settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the ApplianceLinc will return the appliance to its off state when power is restored.
